ARCKIT REVIEWED ON THE LATE LATE TOY SHOW!

It’s that time of year again! The Late Late Toy Show is Ireland’s most viewed TV show ever and last night’s 2016 pre-Christmas show was yet another blockbuster with 1.65 million viewers tuning in. RTÉ pulled out all the stops with a fantastic line up including celebrity guest appearances, showstopping performances, fantastic musicians, and some of the most popular toys this year including a review of our new Arckit sets and other must-have presents. We received so much interest that the huge volume of traffic crashed our website for a period afterwards!

We are thrilled that Arckit made such a high-profile appearance and it’s great to see RTÉ getting behind an Irish-made product that is making real waves in the education and hobbyist sectors. From our beginnings as a professional tool to replace traditional ‘cut and glue’ architectural working models, to winning multiple awards as one of the most advanced architectural freeform building systems, it’s amazing to now see Arckit used and embraced by so many budding creators around the world.

The moment came when the show’s host Ryan Tubridy invited budding architect Anna McGrath from County Wicklow to talk about architecture. As a fan of the Irish architectural TV series Room to Improve, she explained how she likes the architect and presenter Dermot Bannon because he ‘makes the clients happy in the end’. She then explained the design decisions behind one her own scaled model creations.

Ryan explained the story behind Arckit; how our architectural model building kits are made in Ireland and are now sold in prestigious retailers all over the world. He asked Anna for her verdict on our new kits and immediately she picked out Arckit GO Colours as her favourite because of the bright colours and simplicity. To make her dream come true, Ryan then brought out the celebrity architect Dermot Bannon to meet Anna and talk about her models!

It was a wonderful show packed with surprise performances and celebrity appearances including the world’s top golfer, Rory McIlroy and Ireland rugby legend Jamie Heaslip. It was also great timing for Arckit, following the launch of our new range of Arckit kits and our exciting Arckit Education Programme with a series of interactive hands-on STEM courses for schools and universities. The new products have received rave reviews with our Arckit GO Colours now in the finals for the world-renowned Toy Industry Association, Toy of the Year Awards held in New York this February. You can even vote for us here.

Needless to say this is a wonderful end to another fantastic year! It’s never been a more exciting time for us and we still have a few treats up our sleeve for 2017.

Now don’t forget to fill your stockings with Arckit in time for Christmas!
